Students have been working EXTREMELY hard to complete a research project on a Greek god or goddess, and connect that god or goddess to a major historical event that has happened in the last 100 years. We have had the help of the wonderful Ms. Willis and the genius Mr. Miles, and together the students have learned a lot and have taken that learning to the next level!
We were all working so tirelessly that we really didn't have a due date in our minds. I will work with students during SMART Block and Social Studies to make sure they all finish their projects, and complete a works cited page to cite their sources. I cannot wait for everyone to see and read the final product! Stay tuned! For more information on the project and instructions (including citation maker and works cited formatting), please click the button below!
Today I collected the map packet that students have been working on all week. They had 15 minutes of class time every morning to work on the packet. Whatever wasn't finished by Thursday should have been taken home to be completed. I collected the packets first thing today, and will be grading them this weekend! If students did not turn in their packet, they need to make sure they get that to me or else it will be missing in the Gradebook (once I get that up and running!)
We also watched a BrainPop video on the Ancient Mayans and students completed a graphic organizer from the information in the video. This will be graded for a classwork grade! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! Today we continued our guided notes on the Ancient Americas: Maya, Aztec, and Inca civilizations. The notes, discussions, and videos will continue to the end of the week!
